I so wish I could be a fly on the wall and watch you paint! What you do just seems like magic to me. This is a perfect example of the concept that black in light is lighter than white in shadow. Beautiful work!

John -- I usually work with around 25 colors on my palette, that includes my "greys". In this piece I used very little white and no black. I very seldom use black.
