Paintings From The Point is a painting blog created to chronicle my progress as a painter. My name is M Collier and though I have lived in and traveled to many places I have comfortably settled on the west coast of California. Each of my painting is done in oils on 3/8" gessoed hardboard panel. All are painted from life. These flowers always bring a smile to my face. In Australia, The Sulphur Crested Cockatoo ( I have one who is abut 35 years old now), are often seen devouring them as they adore the seeds. You've certainly done the giant flower justice in your latest work.
