Paintings From The Point is a painting blog created to chronicle my progress as a painter. My name is M Collier and though I have lived in and traveled to many places I have comfortably settled on the west coast of California. Each of my painting is done in oils on 3/8" gessoed hardboard panel. All are painted from life. Honestly, they just keep getting better and better. Hopefully one day I'll be quick enough to snag one for my very own.
Just lovely. Especially nice on the tangible thickness of the petals.
my favorite part of this is the leaf/water/highlight area. terrific. I love the mood your work always has. do you set up your still lifes in a box?
